This summer, the Consortium’s management initiated the necessary administrative procedures to allocate the required funds to the budget for the full (100%) payment of professional career progression benefits.
“Improving conditions for firefighters is a priority for our administration, and we are now taking a decisive step toward realizing a long-awaited goal for the Consortium’s staff,” stated David Vicente, the Deputy for Fire Services. This action represents significant progress in recognizing professional career progression and fulfilling a commitment that the workforce has sought for years.
The scheduled administrative process now begins, leading up to final approval by the competent authority. “Once this procedure is complete and all legal and budgetary requirements are met, the corresponding payments can be made,” explained David Vicente. He emphasized, “We recognize the importance of professional career recognition, and we are committed to ensuring this process concludes as quickly as possible while upholding all legal safeguards.”
