The General Assembly of the Provincial Firefighters Consortium has approved a budget modification by way of incorporation of remnants worth 3,470,025 euros to carry out the construction works of the new fire station of the Plana Alta based in Oropesa and undertake different investments in machinery, transport elements and bonuses for the staff for working overtime. The most important item of 1.5 million euros will go to the construction works of the Oropesa park.
The forecast with which we work is that the construction of these new facilities, which will involve an investment of more than 2 million euros, begins in the second or third quarter of 2023, and that the completion occurs in the third quarter of 2024. 1,500 m² of a very well connected plot will be built, with a surface area of 6,000 m². The new park will replace the current one, already outdated, and will be the benchmark on the coast, as it is located in a tourist area where an exponential increase in population is recorded in the summer months.
The credit modification contemplates, among other things, the investment of 800,000 euros in the acquisition of two heavy forestry pumps for professional parks, 357,313 euros for the acquisition of a fire engine or 150,000 euros for the acquisition of three off-road vehicles.
We must also highlight the bonus section, which amounts to 337,712 euros.
Prior to the celebration of the assembly, the government commission of the Provincial Firefighters Consortium met in which the award for 88,499 euros for the drafting of the construction project and construction management of the future Plana Alta Fire Station was ratified, to the company García Mollars Engenyers.
