The Castellón Province Fire Department has honored the recently retired personnel, a total of 12 people, who carried out their work in the various parks of the province and in Central Services of the department.
The act of tribute had not yet been carried out to date due to the pandemic, but the situation of improvement has allowed it to be held, maintaining all safety conditions.
Now, the long history of all of them has been honored, in an emotional event held in the Reception Room of the Palacio de las Aulas, headquarters of the Provincial Council. The president of the Provincial Council, José Martí, and the fire brigade deputy Abel Ibáñez, have presented some souvenirs to their retired colleagues, consisting of a medal and a personalized photograph.
The event was also attended by relatives and colleagues of the people honored. In the words of recognition to these professionals, the deputy of firefighters Abel Ibáñez stressed that “it is a pride to have among the ranks of this provincial emergency corps such committed people, who dedicate their work to serving the province. A job that, in your case, is also a lifetime ”, and he recalled the key moments in which these troops have been together with the public, as in the multiple tasks carried out during the pandemic. Ibáñez has especially highlighted how during the decades worked they have served thousands of people throughout the province. “I am sure that many of these people will remember you as that guardian angel who has helped them when they needed it most and who at times has even saved their lives.”
