Once again, the Castellón Province Fire Department collaborated throughout January with the numerous Sant Antoni celebrations taking place in the province of Castellón, participating in preventative operations.
They collaborated on 75 preventative operations, between the fire department and the Castellón Provincial Council’s Civil Protection Group, a group under the Fire Department’s jurisdiction.
Fire and bonfires are the central elements of these festivities in honor of Saint Anthony, and to ensure everything proceeds safely, Consortium personnel are present before and during the celebrations. In this regard, they pay particular attention to preventing any secondary fires from the bonfires that could spread to rooftops or nearby vegetation.
All the celebrations have proceeded without incident, reinforcing this deeply rooted tradition in the province of Castellón.
