The President of the Castellón Province Fire Department presided over the ceremony recognizing the new firefighters joining the institution’s fire department. The event, held in the Reception Hall, was also attended by the Provincial Deputy for Firefighters, David Vicente, as well as the newly recruited firefighters and officers of the Provincial Fire Consortium.
As the President of the Provincial Council stated, “Today is a day to recognize a vocation that knows no schedules or comforts, but rather courage and public service. A day to honor the people who, with their professionalism and dedication, ensure the safety of everyone every day.”
The ceremony held at the Provincial Palace recognized the 60 professionals who successfully completed the Consortium’s “most ambitious” recruitment drive, “a clear commitment to strengthening an essential public service and improving response capacity to any emergency,” emphasized Marta Barrachina, who added that “this addition will support a force that never stops.” In this regard, the highest representative of the provincial institution reported that, in 2025 alone, firefighters in the province of Castellón carried out more than 4,700 operations. “But behind each intervention there is not just a number; there are professionals who work with courage, rigor, and an admirable dedication to service.”
These new additions to the fire stations strengthen operational capacity throughout the province and guarantee faster response times to any emergency.
