This summer, the provincial authority added two Heavy Urban Pumpers (BUP), one Light Urban Pumper (BUL), and four Personnel and Cargo Units (UPC) to the fleet, representing an investment of over \u20ac1.3 million. “With these additions, we continue to advance the Consortium leadership’s commitment to completely renewing the first-response vehicle fleet, ensuring our professionals are equipped with the best resources,” stated David Vicente, the council member responsible for the department. He emphasized that “modernizing and improving the Provincial Fire Consortium’s equipment is essential to guaranteeing an effective and efficient response in emergency situations.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Specifically, the units received for immediate deployment include two Heavy Urban Pumpers (BUP) assigned to the Plana Baixa and Baix Maestrat stations to replace existing vehicles; these are double-cab trucks featuring an internal refrigerator, a capacity of 3,800 liters of water and 100 liters of firefighting foam concentrate (LGE), and pumps capable of 3,000 L\/min (high pressure) and 250 L\/min (low pressure). Also included is a Light Urban Pumper (BUL) with a double cab and a capacity of 1,900 liters of water and 100 liters of foam concentrate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At this point, the provincial deputy explained that these vehicles have been delivered to the fire stations and that training on their use will begin next Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, four new UPC (Personnel and Cargo Unit) vehicles have been added\u2014already delivered to the stations\u2014which will replace the current UPC units at the professional fire stations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These new vehicles join the Castellon Province Fire Department extensive fleet. “At the Castell\u00f3n Provincial Council, we are working to ensure our professionals have the equipment needed to handle high-risk situations and vehicles that meet all necessary safety standards,” stated David Vicente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this regard, the provincial deputy emphasized that, alongside this investment, “we continue to invest in strengthening the Consortium’s resources.” With a budget exceeding \u20ac4.1 million, several batches of vehicles are being acquired\u2014some in the final stages of the award process and others already in production\u2014including four Heavy Rural Pumpers (BRP), four Light Urban Pumpers (BUL), and four Multi-purpose Rescue Vans (FSV). “The acquisition of these vehicles demonstrates our commitment to improving equipment quality and emergency response capabilities throughout the province of Castell\u00f3n,” David Vicente remarked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All these recent investments align with the roadmap established by the Provincial Government at the start of the current term. Since then, the Castell\u00f3n Provincial Council has carried out significant investment, enabling the addition of a wide range of vehicles to the province’s fire stations\u2014vehicles designed and adapted to the professionals’ needs\u2014to ensure firefighters continue to have the tools required to respond to emergencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
